Here's the character's description and a couple of gifs of him in action:Īn eternal protector, waiting amidst tangled roots at the base of the Citadel. Though Seth won't be around to play Hollow Knight: Silkong, he's now immortalised as a brave and important warrior in one of his favourite games. Seth was a big Hollow Knight fan who, thanks to the Marty Lyons Foundation (a similar scheme to Make A Wish), got to meet Team Cherry and help them design a new NPC for Silksong. Meet Seth, an ancient guardian of a place called the Citadel, who was designed with and named after a young person who recently passed away. Last night, however, a new challenger approached. To uncover these NPCs, fans have had to answer riddles, and so far, we've seen the rather creepy Huntress and the sneak-thief Grindle. maybe the larger HK world if it's an all new kingdom and not just a new age version after the calamity ended.Įdit: oh, the opening of the trailer may suggest Hornet traversing the harsh winds on top of the world until breaking that bridge and landing in the first screenshot of the store page, a lush area.Over the past few weeks, the developers of the excellent metroidvania Hollow Knight have been revealing new characters that players will meet in the upcoming sequel, Hollow Knight: Silksong. The biggest lore value in this game is probably going to be what the kingdom used to be and will be like, how society worked, kings came to be. This game is less of a oh everything is close to the end and everyone you meet will be corrupted and dead soon, no, it's probably more the revival of the kingdom and helping it rise once more. The 'feeling of solitude' seems to be less important in this game, because in the trailer, you see things like new townS, pompilla grenade harming enemies and ALLIES alike, and that taxi boiiii charge could be a quest companion. It just doesn't work for the type of game Hollow Knight is in my opinion. You're saying either two things I want the areas and maps of the game to be redesigned for a second player to join me, or, I just want a second player to join me to experience the game alongside of me. It's a very naive way of thinking just saying "it can still be single player just add co-op", think about what you're actually saying. I don't want an AI partner either, the feeling of solitude would also be completely destroyed. You don't need to worry about someone else bothering your time. Dead Space 1 and 2 you could take in at your own pace. Having a co-op partner would kill that for me instantly. I personally love the deep lore and immersion of Hollow Knight. But it is definitely a genre in in of itself. it can be still played singleplayer.Ĭo-op doesn't make a game bad I agree. ![]() ![]() Having coop doesn't suddenly make a game be bad. ![]() Sudnered made a great game and then they eventually added local coop which made me play it with my brother again.
